Everyone's used to politicians badmouthing each other and highlighting flaws in their opponents to try and belittle them in front of the eyes of the public.
In my little corner of the world, things like fraud and corruption regularly bubble to the surface, usually by way of the media. The police investigate and the offending politician is, more often than not, destroyed. Possibly literally, as they're not usually heard from again, but more likely because the parties distance themselves from the offending moron, who was stupid enough to misbehave while the public gaze was upon them.

So earlier this week a bit of a pagan milestone was reached at the United Nations for well heathen Galina Krasskova. Some of you may already know her as the
author of Exploring the Northern Tradition (most notably), as a columnist and regular contributor for Witches and Pagans Magazine, as the Second Year Dean at the New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, and as one of Peter Dybing's 10 Pagans Who Made A Difference in 2011.
On Thursday, May 10 she gave an opening prayer to the ancestors at 777 United Nations Plaza, in New York, NY. The conference "Breaking the Silence: Beginning the Healing" was held under the auspices of the United Nations
