Cryptozoology, literally means the study of hidden animals. Those creatures unknown to science, or surviving pre-historic relics.
But what of those animals so pointless, so worthless, so......CRAP that science just doesn't want to know, and remain hidden more from a sense of acute embarrasment than anything else?

Unlike it's lowland cousin, the Highland haggis has legs of equal length. These allow it to scramble, sure-footedly over rocky terrain, as well as negociate Celedonian pine forest and the long grass of the moors & mountains.
There are few sights as majestic as Highland Haggis stags during the Autumn rut, where they stand atop rocky outcrops and attempt to drown eachother out with the sounds of furious piping.
Found North of the Highland Faultline, as well as many of the Scottish Islands, the Highland form of the haggis lives in large herds, but are adept at hiding.
More than one terrified english tourist has been laughed out of a pub after regailing the locals with tales of the deerlike, bagpipe-antlered creatures stalking him, making no sound apart from the occasional drone or tootle.
